Santo Domingo .- The Corripio Foundation announced today that the essayist and journalist Federico Henríquez Grateraux is the winner of the National Prize of Literature 2017.
The jury is composed of the rectors of different universities, the Academy of Language, the Corripio Foundation and the Ministry of Culture.
This is the twenty-seventh prize and will be delivered on February 21 in the Carlos Piantini theater of the National Theater.
This award is granted to the literary work of a lifetime, a diploma issued and signed by the Minister of Culture, Pedro Vergés, and the President of the Corripio Foundation, José Luis Corripio Estrada, with a million Weights and diploma.
Henríquez Gratereaux and s journalist, essayist. He was awarded with the National Prize of Test Pedro Henríquez Ureña in 1979. He is member of the Dominican Academy of the Language and correspondent of the Real Spanish Academy; Has held the positions of public relations director of the Presidency and Secretary of State without Portfolio.
